This past weekend was a whirlwind of events for the Plumlee family.  During a visit to the Triangle, their three sons won a state title.   One of them ended up knowing Durham would be his future home and made public his commitment to Duke University early this morning.   Mason Plumlee becomes the first prospect in the class of 2009 to commit Duke.  The Blue Devil Nation has covered his recruitment tirelessly and we will have more detaila in our premium section later today.  "Mason is frantically catching up on his schoolwork," said his proud Mom Leslie in a conversation earlier this morning.  Mason takes his academics seriously, as do all students at Christ School.  The word we got from his camo is that he wants to relax and catch up before he starts answering numerous phone calls in search of an interview.  Congrats Mason and welcome to Duke!  Check back tomorrow for our artcile will be on the free board.

"Duke is the perfect fit for Mason and Mason is the perfect fit for Duke," said Christ School coach David Gaines

Don't think that because we didn't have anything on the front page until now that the Blue Devil Nation didn't cover Mason Plumlee's visit to Durham for last evenings Maryland game.  Inside Blue Devil Premium, I discussed the visit with both Mason and his coach and got an idea of the timeline of his decision and much more in a detailed article.

Mason Plumlee and his Coach David Gaines won their final regular season game with a 73-32 blowout of  Asheville tonight.  Christ School goes to 29-2 with the win and will play at Ravenscroft in Raleigh, North Carolina next weekend.  Plumlee and his Coach will visit Cameron Indoor Stadium tomorrow night for the Maryland game.  I talked with Coach Gaines today and you can read some very positive comments about Coach K and Duke and of course Plumlee in Blue Devil Nation Premium.   You will not be disappointed in the latest information out there.  If you love recruiting and inside tips and are not a member, you should be!  Give it a try by going to the appropriate paypal link in the menu to your left where we offer 3,6 or 12 month memberships.

View Article  Duke will entertain three big names versus UNC

Kenny Boynton Jr. is a strong guard who can take over a game with his offense and passing.

Leslie McDonald is silky smooth throw back wing guard with a handle.

Elliot Williams can shoot from the outside, but it's showtime when he goes to the rim.

What do the three of these super talented players have in common?  Well, if you are a member of Blue Devil Nation Premium you already knew that they will all visit Durham during the upcoming Duke versus North Carolina game.  I am certain the Cameron Crazies will have a lot to cheer about in that it's DeMarcus Nelson's Senior Day.  But if you attend the game, you will surely see three of the best players in America behind the Duke bench.

For complete recruiting coverage and more, join Blue Devil Nation Premium.  Here is a link where Boynton led his team to a win last evening.  His team American Heritage takes on Pincrest where Boynotn will face super 2010 prospect Brandon Knight Saturday evening.

Mason Plumlee is a 6-10 big man prospect from Arden, North Carolina's Christ School.  He averages a double-double for a 26-2 team that has one of the better frontcourts in high school basketball.  Mason will visit Duke in the near future.  So, this is a heads up for the Cameron Crazies to be prepared should you see a tall kid.  Discuss more details on the Blue Devil Nation Premium Message Board.
