Duke shot themselves in the foot with two fumbles late in the first half that allowed Notre Dame to take a 14-0 lead into the half. The Devils didn't adjust well after halftime and gained just 94 yards rushing on one of the worst rushing defenses in the nation. Duke, which elected to defer and receive the second half showed few adjustments as the game went on. The win was the first for the Irish in South Bend this season. The dismal weather and results made it a trying day for the team and fans. Duke will look to take some sort of momentum into next season when they take on arch rival UNC next Saturday. The Devils dropped to 1-10, while Notre Dame goes to 2-9.
