Football play-offs are currently dominating the local sports sections of newspapers, but I still managed to dig out a couple of tidbits in the area of high school basketball.

In Memphis, St. George's cruised to another easy victory, but Elliot Williams' name was conspicuously absent from the box score.

In Tidewater action, DeShawn Painter logged 14 points, seven rebounds and five block shots as Booker T. Washington defeated Norcom 69-61, on Friday night.

Up north, Erik Murphy scored 23 points as St. Mark's easily won last Wednesday 80-44.

Olek Czyz and Kenny Boynton's teams were not in action this weekend.
