View Article  Duke jumps nine places to 17th

As you can see, Duke is 17th in the latest poll.  One could argue that a 20-7 Duke team that plays a tougher schedule is better than Air Force at 23-4 or Georgetown  at 20-5, two teams Duke beat.

If the Devils can find a way to beat a Clemson [a team that is dangerous, if for no other reason than their losing streak and a possible NCAA bid on the line] and Maryland at home, Duke will approach the top ten again.

Okay!  One step at a time.  BTW, the other poll has Vandy one spot ahead of Duke.  While they are certainly good, at 18-8 ... well, I just can't see it.

I think Bama is overrated at 25th too.   In fact, I think the ACC would eat the SEC's lunch from top to bottom.  Oh, and for those who snickered at me for picking six ACC teams to make the dance before the season, well, toot-toot!

 1. Ohio State (17) 24-3 757

 2. Wisconsin (10) 26-2 741
 3. Florida (1) 24-3 710
 4. UCLA (2) 23-3 682
 5. North Carolina (1) 23-4 625
