by

Michael Nifong was a no show for today's removal hearing. Imagine that! If you feel sorry for him, you've been under a rock for the last twelve months. He willingly brought all of the proceedings on himself. It is a fitting end to an embarrassing time for the Durham Community.

Duke-UNC
by
Mark Watson
on Tue 26 Jun 2007 03:06 PM EDT
ESPN has listed sports events you must take in before you die.
Duke-North Carolina basketball game (winter, Chapel Hill or Durham, N.C.). There are college basketball rivalries and then there is Duke-Carolina, which makes that Yankees/Red Sox thing seem like a simple misunderstanding. Cramming into old Cameron Indoor Stadium or marveling at the banners for all the Tar Heels greats in the Dean Dome is a college basketball experience not to be missed -- even if you have to camp out in K-Ville for a couple of weeks to get a ticket. (Just check with a doctor first to make sure you have all your shots.)

Brandon Knight is ahead of the curve
by
Mark Watson
on Tue 26 Jun 2007 12:53 PM EDT
The mere fact that Brandon Knight was playing in the NBA Top 100 Camp says a lot in itself. Why? Well, the youngster is all of fifteen years old and is in the class of 2010.

Brandon Knight practicing his ball handling skills!
Despite his youth, he is making a name for himself with his advanced skills and work ethic. Knight is a pure PG at this point that is already able to slash to the hoop and score or dish.

by

Derrick Favors has wowed scouts all summer with the ease in which he gets it done inside. Favors has yet to make a serious list of schools, but he has quite the horde starting to court him.

Derrick Favors has been on a tear of late!
No matter who the youngster has faced, he doesn't back down. He has developed a nice ten to twelve foot jump shot, which keeps his man honest.

Vinson shines at the NBAPA Camp
by
Mark Watson
on Mon 25 Jun 2007 02:31 PM EDT
It generally takes me five or so views of a prospect in order to break their games down. Just ten day ago, I compared Terrell Vinson's game to Jamal Boykin, but this was after two views at the TOC. He's better.

Vinson finished in the top ten in scoring and rebounding during the NBAPA Camp!
