Remember Shavlik Randolph? Well, he has landed on his feet. Here is a link to an interview with the former Dukie. Nobody wanted Shav to succeed at Duke more than I did. It doesn't seem like that long ago when I attended his press conference at Raleigh Broughton. Shav still comes to Duke to hang out, as well he should. He was seen yapping it up with Paulus and Pocius at the Gibbons TOC. Samardo Samuels chose to play his college basketball at Louisville yesterday. He picked the Cards over two Duke favorites, UNC and UConn. Samuels stands 6-9 and is one of the top post players in the 2008. He chose the Cards over UNC and UConn, two Duke favorites;) There is a Q and A in the BDN interview section if you are interested. Duke evaluated the prospect, but backed out long ago. It's a good land for Pitino, who is on the verge of having a good recruiting class. It is not a stretch that his Cards will be a top ten team this coming season. Josh McRoberts signed with the Wasserman group and will remain in the NBA Draft. That's no real surprise for me. There has been little doubt in Durham that he would come back. Monday is the deadline to pull out of the NBA Draft. Clemson has Mays back and the Hoo's hope their PG back. |
