While last nights win over Temple was a bit ugly at times, it was still and important one for a team still coming together. By seasons end, all we'll remember is that it was a win, but more importantly it allowed Coach K to become sixth on the all time wins list.
You may remember an informative interview I had with Chris Carrawell a while back. I've got to know Chris over the years as we have shared tales on life. It's cool that two friends of mine in Carrawell and Al Featherston got together recently. As always Al did a great job in updating the Blue Devil Nation on the latest on Carrwell's career where he finds himself back at Duke.
The more the Temple victory sinks in the happier I feel going into the ACC season. I get the feeling that the team and Coach K are aware of the tough road ahead and the work they'll have to do. You can see this in the comments from last nights record setting win.
The road is not always paved with ease for some players. Last seasons inside force at Duke, Josh McRoberts was assigned to the developmental league where he will suit up for the Idaho Stampede in Boise. The BDN hopes Josh will develop his game and become a long time NBA player.
The Blue Devil Nation wishes Grant Hill a speedy recovery from appendectomy surgery. Hill has been having a very nice season for the Phoenix Suns. Grant will always be one of my all time favorites having played on those wonderful back to back National Champions teams in 91 and 92. Heck, he almost won a third title had it not been for Scotty Thurmans timely shot in the 94 final.
Stumble It!
