Mark's take -  Duke is coming off a huge victory over North Carolina and looks to continue it's undefeated ways in the ACC when the Eagles of Boston College fly into town.  Do not look for a let down from these Devils.  While the team is young they are uncannily focused on the job at hand so far this season.

Duke will put its defensive stopper DeMarcus Nelson on Tyrese Rice in hopes of slow down one of the leagues top scorers.    The Eagles are a much swifter team this season as opposed to the power inside-out tandem last year.

This game will mark the return of Brian Zoubek which only deepens the already solid Duke roster.  I see the Blue Devils playing a lot of players and taking care of business in a convincing manner by games end.  The pick here is Duke 92 Boston College 69 proving there is little hangover from thwarting their arch rival.

Bob Green's take - Boston College arrives at Cameron Indoor Stadium the loser of five straight games by an average of 15 points per game. They turned the ball over 13.8 times per game in those five defeats. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils are riding a ten game winning streak and forcing 18.6 turnovers per game in their first eight ACC games. Last season, in the 78 - 70 victory at Chestnut Hills, Duke turned Boston College over 19 times and scored 28 points off those turnovers. Tyresse Rice turned the ball over six times. Why the focus on turnovers? The Eagles' chance at victory is predicated upon their ability to take care of the ball and limit Duke's offensive possessions. Turnovers equate to extra opportunities for the Blue Devils. Boston College must turn Duke over, but Duke leads the ACC in Turnover Margin and is second in Assist/Turnover Ratio.

Duke needs to be on guard against a letdown after the big victory at Chapel Hill, but Coach K and Team Captain DeMarcus Nelson will be sure to have the Blue Devils focused upon the task at hand - defeating the Eagles and improving to 9 - 0 in ACC conference play.
Of the 17 statistical categories tracked at this link, Duke is ranked higher than Boston College in 16. Boston College is ahead of Duke in Free Throw Percentage where BC makes 69.1% to Duke's 69%.

Key points:
* Turnovers
* Foul trouble
* FG pct
My prediction: Duke 86 - Boston College 68

View Article  Duke will entertain three big names versus UNC

Kenny Boynton Jr. is a strong guard who can take over a game with his offense and passing.

Leslie McDonald is silky smooth throw back wing guard with a handle.

Elliot Williams can shoot from the outside, but it's showtime when he goes to the rim.

What do the three of these super talented players have in common?  Well, if you are a member of Blue Devil Nation Premium you already knew that they will all visit Durham during the upcoming Duke versus North Carolina game.  I am certain the Cameron Crazies will have a lot to cheer about in that it's DeMarcus Nelson's Senior Day.  But if you attend the game, you will surely see three of the best players in America behind the Duke bench.

For complete recruiting coverage and more, join Blue Devil Nation Premium.  Here is a link where Boynton led his team to a win last evening.  His team American Heritage takes on Pincrest where Boynotn will face super 2010 prospect Brandon Knight Saturday evening.

In this link, the writer tells how fame hasn't spoiled Kenny Boynton Jr.  Boynton will visit Duke during the UNC game and has long been a top target for the Blue Devils in the class of 2009.

View Article  Prospect Mason Plumlee will visit Duke during the Maryland game
Mason Plumlee is a 6-10 big man prospect from Arden, North Carolina's Christ School.  He averages a double-double for a 26-2 team that has one of the better frontcourts in high school basketball.  Mason will visit Duke in the near future.  So, this is a heads up for the Cameron Crazies to be prepared should you see a tall kid.  Discuss more details on the Blue Devil Nation Premium Message Board.
