Duke Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, Chris Collins had some nice things to say about Mike Krzyzewski.

Duke's men's lacrosse game against Lehigh has been moved to Wednesday, March 5 with the contest starting at 1 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium.  The tilt was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m.  The Blue Devils enter the week ranked second nationally with a 3-0 record.  The Mountain Hawks, coached by former Duke All-America midfielder Kevin Cassese, stand at 2-2 on the year.  Duke's Sam Payton has been named Player of the Week.

According to this link, K could be the greatest coach of all!  The Asheville Citizen plugs John Roth's Encyclopedia of Duke Basketball when making reference to players who played to Duke from that area.  With summer approaching, adding the book to your library might be a good idea.  By going to the link provided you help this site run, but more importantly you give back to Roth who has done a whole lot for the Duke Athletic community.  Roth is the editor of Blue Devil Weekly and plays a huge role in Moore Productions radio broadcast.  He is one of the hardest working men I know who covers the Blue Devil programs.

This columnist states that Coach K benefitted from his summer with Team USA.   A local radio station, 850 the Buzz has admitted they didn't check their facts before running with the supposed K-Roy rift.  Here is the link.  One would think that a one on one between play by play host Bob Harris and Coach K would be somewhat private but there are flies on the wall everywhere.  K called it a   stupid flap during the ACC weekly press conference.  One would also think a station would check their facts rather than someones memory who listened to the show and heard what they wanted.  Regardless, it got them publicity, but was "enquirer" like reporting.  It's kinda like when someone from our premium section sent in the news on Roof and they claimed the scoop.  Okay, it's the nature of the business.  Still, we should all check our facts to the best of our abilities.

We wish Coach Roof the best as defensive coordinator at Minnesota.  Coach to Gopher's reporter, "It's a combination of a lot of things. There is no magic dust. You don't come in and sprinkle magic dust and everything all of a sudden gets better. It's a process. We've just got to continue to build and grow."  We often heard of that magic dust in the weekly press conferences at Duke and hope he finds a bag of it lying around.
